Brain Gain: Panacea for the loss of Expertise in African Countries?

The workshop tackled the problems related to the migration of African academics. It included the current social, economic and political situation as well as tips for successful integration into the labour market in some African countries. It gave best practice examples of African experts which have received tertiary education in Germany and now and put it to useful and successful work for the development of their home countries. The workshop target groups were African students, graduates and diaspora in Germany but also development workers with a focus on Africa who wish to exchange on possible strategies to reduce "brain waste".
