The Network of Africans Freiberg organized its annual African week in June 2018. Part of this larger event was a panel discussion on the topic "African-European Development Cooperation: The Catalytic Role of Academia and Industries",which was organized by NAF 2018 African Week Committee, Executive Board of NAF and AGGN fellow Ibrahim K. Muritala. The panel discussion took place on 18th June in Freiberg.
For the discussion, a variety of speakers was included to discuss the role industry and academia can play in development cooperation. Among others, Prof. Dr. Georg Unland, former Finance Minster of Saxony gave a keynote speech with a comparative focus on Germany and the African countries.
